And speaking of sour, Capital Dim Sum Bar also has an awesome hot and sour soup!
Hot and sour soup is a traditional Chinese soup dish that is known for its combination of spicy and sour flavors. It is considered to be a warming soup. It is said to help clear nasal congestion—perfect for patrons with a cold.
5. Sweet and Sour Fish
Sweet and sour fish is a popular Chinese dish that typically features deep-fried fish coated in a sweet and sour sauce. The sauce is made from a mixture of sugar, vinegar, ketchup, and various other ingredients such as pineapple and bell peppers. The restaurant’s fish tastes great with hot, steamed rice as it balances the flavor nicely.
We recommend eating the sweet and sour fish last, however. Chinese chefs often say that they should be served last. That’s because sweet and sour foods pack the most flavor and are the perfect way to cap the meal!
6. Roasted Peking Duck
Peking duck is a traditional Chinese dish originating from Beijing. It is characterized by its crispy skin and served with Asian flatbread, scallions, and sweet duck sauce. The duck is first marinated in a mixture of soy sauce, rice wine, and spices. Then, it is hung to dry before it is roasted in a closed oven or over an open flame to achieve its crispy skin.
Peking duck is considered a delicacy and is often served in upscale Chinese restaurants like Capital Dim Sum Bar!

8. Lo Mien Noodles
Lo mien is a Chinese dish that consists of egg noodles that are stir-fried with cabbage, carrots, and green onions. The noodles are cooked in a savory sauce made from the oyster sauce, soy sauce, and other seasonings. You may also add extra protein if you’d like, and the restaurant offers chicken, beef, or barbecued pork as add-ons.
